Just an hour drive from Utah County to be in the gorgeous mountains of Park City and the surrounding area. Our Lodge is located on the mountain overlooking Rockport Reservoir which is 15 minutes outside of Park City in the town of Wanship.
The beauty of the Uinta National forest and scenic drives are within minutes
or just stay and enjoy the adjacent State Park and lake activities. Walk a fun easy hike called Lakeview Trail and have a picnic or soak in some sun on the beaches.
We discovered some history right under our noses about the reservoir. It was created when the state decided to create it by flooding an old pioneer town and when the water is low you can see roads and foundation of the old buildings. While driving to the park see if you can spot the tiny pioneer cemetery on the hillside.
Park City resort draws people from all over the world. We like to explore the history of the old mining town by visiting the Park City museum. Its so educational and super fun for the whole family. The 2002 Olympics were held in Park City and there is an Olympic complex you can visit and explore. Don't forget the summer fun at the Mountain Resort where you can ride a zip line or slide! The shopping outlets are always on the agenda for the girls!
